DESCRIPTION:Barton Community College will host a hands-on "Cyber Summer Camp" for incoming sixth through eighth grade students from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 17-18 on the Barton campus.\n\n\n\nThe two-day camp will introduce students to the exciting world of cybersecurity through interactive activities designed to spark curiosity and build digital problem-solving skills. Campers will decode messages with cipher disks\, experiment with a "Pringles Enigma" inspired by World War II code machines\, send Morse code using micro:bits\, experience the Softwarfare Cyber Range\, and compete in beginner-friendly Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges.\n\n\n\nThe camp is being offered as part of a grant\, in partnership with Softwarfare and Enterprise KC.\n\n\n\n The registration deadline is May 29.
