DESCRIPTION:Join us in Great Bend\, Kansas for the 5th Annual Flatlander Half Marathon & YP5K on Saturday\, October 19. The races will start and finish in downtown Great Bend\, and all three will utilize a professionally chipped timing system provided by Timer Guys. Each participant receives a race T-shirt\, a swag bag of goodies from our sponsors\, a complimentary breakfast\, along with free finish line photos published on our Facebook page after the event.\n\nRegistration Details:\n\n5K = $30\n\n10K = $40\n\nHalf Marathon = $65\n\n\n\nT-shirt sizes are not guaranteed after Oct. 1st. Proceeds will be used to sponsor fitness and wellness initiatives in Barton County via Be Well Barton County. Post your race photos using the hashtag #FlatHalfGBK on social media!\n\n\n\nHALF MARATHON - 13.1 Miles Take tour of the Great Bend community on our flat race route with diverse scenery\, which incorporates two City parks\, our hike and bike trail and Great Bend's beautiful tree-lined residential streets - all on flat terrain with well-coordinated hydration stations. Ample restroom facilities are made available at the starting line and at the park pavilion. Awards will be presented to the top male and top female finishers in five age groups (13 to 18\, 19 to 25\, 26 to 35\, 36 to 49\, 50 and Over). All half marathon finishers will receive a medal. This course is USATF certified. 10K - 6.2 Miles (Two Laps of the 5K Route) 5K - 3.11 Miles Join us at Jack Kilby Square for a scenic route through Great Bend that includes Brit Spaugh Park and well-marked residential areas. Custom die-cast medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in six age groups (12 and Under\, 13 to 18\, 19 to 25\, 26 to 35\, 36 to 49\, 50 and Over).
