DESCRIPTION:Members of Barton County Young Professionals are invited to attend a leadership luncheon to learn more about the upcoming bond election for USD 428 Facility Improvements. Questions from attendees are welcome and encouraged!\n\nWednesday\, August 21\n\nGambino's Pizza\n\nMain St\, Great Bend\n\n12noon - 1pm\n\n*BCYP Members are asked to pay for their own lunch.\n\n\n\nLearn more about the 2019 Facilities Improvement Bond at www.GreatBendSchools.net/bond. The three key elements of the bond are:\n\n1. Safety & Security   Necessary renovations in all five elementary buildings\, Washington Education Center\, Great Bend Middle School\, and Great Bend High School will ensure our students have a safe environment to learn\, grow and thrive.\n\n2. Early Childhood Education   Free preschool in neighborhood elementary schools is a critical step to establish a foundation for learning and development. By moving sixth-grade to Great Bend Middle School\, we create capacity at all elementary buildings for early childhood education.\n\n3. Renovations\, Enhancements\, and Life Cycle Improvements   All school buildings\, along with the Maintenance and Transportation Building\, will receive necessary renovations to meet education\, technology\, and infrastructure demands. (No renovations at the District Education Center or Central Kitchen are included.)
