After many doctors appointments the doctor determined it was Spinal Stenosis and scheduled her to see a pain doctor. While waiting on insurance to approve her to see pain doctor numerous doctors visits\, ER visits\, Chiropractor\, massages\, and physical therapy occurred and nothing helped. Betty finally took FMLA on September 13th. The pain was unbearable at this point and still the doctor would do nothing just kept saying to wait on the pain doctor. September 22nd Betty got a CT scan of her abdomen and found a 5x4cm mass on her pancreas which encase the Celtic Artery and Superior Mesenteric Artery. The tumor is pushing on nerves which is causing the back pain. She has a blood clot in her portal vein due to the mass and many concerning spots in both lungs and one on the liver. September 25th Betty was diagnosed with PACREATIC CANCER. Betty has had two hospital stays for pain management\, a stent put in her pancreas\, and an Endoscopic ultrasound guided celiac plexus block to try and help with pain. This Benefit is to help with out of pocket expenses insurance doesn't cover\, utilities because she in unable to work\, and travel expenses for all of the doctors visits.
