SUMMARY:Flatlander Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:Join us in Great Bend\, Kansas for the 4th Annual Flatlander Half Marathon on Saturday\, October 20th. The Race will include a Certified Half Marathon Course\, in addition\, 10K & 5K courses. The races will start and finish at Jack Kilby Square in downtown Great Bend\, and will utilize a professionally chipped timing system provided by Timer Guys.  Proceeds will be used to sponsor fitness and wellness initiatives in Barton County. \n\nFlatlander Half Marathon - 13.1 Miles\n\nTake a scenic tour of the Great Bend community on our dynamic race route\, which incorporates two City parks\, our notorious hike and bike trail\, as well as beautiful tree-lined residential streets - all on flat terrain with well-coordinated hydration stations. Ample restroom facilities are made available at the starting line and at the park pavilion. Awards will be presented to the top male and top female finishers in five age groups (13 to 18\, 19 to 25\, 26 to 35\, 36 to 49\, 50 and Over). All half marathon finishers will receive a medal. *Pending USATF certification.\n\n5K & 10K Courses\n\nJoin us at Jack Kilby Square for a scenic route through Great Bend that includes Brit Spaugh Park and well-marked residential areas.
