SUMMARY:Flatlander Half Marathon & YP5K Run/Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us in Great Bend\, Kansas for the 3rd Annual Flatlander Half Marathon & YP5K on Saturday\, October 21st. The races will start and finish at Jack Kilby Square in downtown Great Bend\, and both will utilize a professionally chipped timing system provided by Timer Guys. Participants can elect to run or walk the 5K course or take on the more challenging half marathon course. Each participant receives a race t-shirt\, a swag bag of goodies from our sponsors\, a complimentary breakfast\, along with free finish line photos published on our Facebook page after the event. Cost is $30 per 5K participant or $60 per half marathon participant. Prices increase to $35 and $70 respectively after September 25th. T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed after the earlybird deadline. Proceeds will be used to sponsor fitness and wellness initiatives in Barton County. Ample restroom facilities are made available at the starting line and at the park pavilion. Awards will be presented to the top male and top female finishers in five age groups (13 to 18\, 19 to 25\, 26 to 35\, 36 to 49\, 50 and Over).
