Coached MS Basketball (6 yrs) \n\n -Asst. Coached HS Golf (2 yrs) \n\n -No malicious agenda against anyone or any city department\n\n -Hoisington first \n\n -Priority #1: City bill relief \n\n \n\n I love Hoisington and do not want to see it get any more negative publicity as it has over the last few years. The council is doing their best and it is not an easy position. There are some things economically we have no control over. It's unfortunate that there have been many things posted that are definitely misinformation just to make the city council look bad. We are lucky to have everything we do here in Hoisington\, and I know I appreciate them. As the mayor\, I don't get a vote (unless a tie occurs which hasn't in my 2 years) but all I can do is listen to what concerns citizens have and try to relay that to the city council members and city staff. \n	\n	\n\n\nHOISINGTON CITY COUNCIL 1st Ward (elect 1)\n\n\n	Becky Steiner\n	Elizabeth D. Coles\n	\n My background is that of a daughter of a strong WW2 vet and a traditional mother. I was born in Texas\, the family eventually settled in Southern California\, but not before we had the opportunity to live in various different states all over the country\, which include Indiana\, Nevada\, Washington\, Oklahoma\, and Hawaii. This has provided me the opportunity to learn many different cultures and world views. \n\n \n\n I have been a widow for 11 years. I raised 5 children while working as a Registered Nurse specialist (Dialysis\, Plasmapheresis\, Cryo-pheresis) in the I.C.U... I have 5 grandchildren and am expecting my 7th great-grandchild in December. My faith as a Christian is instrumental in all my decisions. I graduated from Loara High School in Anaheim in 1974. I attended nursing school in El Paso Texas. A fine school run by some tuff no nonsense nuns called Hotel Dieu\, in 1980. \n\n \n\n I am running for city council in Hoisington?s first ward because I want to make a difference in my newly beloved adopted home of Kansas. After living all across the United States\, I know a good thing when I see it and Kansas is truly special. \n\n \n\n My focus and vision for the city is such: \n\n 1)Bring clarity and transparency to city operations. \n\n 2)Focus on obtaining best prices for electric power.\n\n 3)Support youth programs and job training opportunities within Hoisington. \n\n 4)Attract\, support\, and help to create an atmosphere of entrepreneurship in the city.\n\n 5)Attract new businesses and industry into Hoisington.\n\n 6)Advocate for local support of mental health issues and drug rehabilitation access locally. \n	\n	\n\nHOISINGTON CITY COUNCIL 3rd Ward (elect 1)\n\n\n	Mike Davis\n	James Morris\n\nCLAFLIN CITY COUNCIL (elect 2)\n\n\n	Corey Liebl\n	J.D. Linville\n	Dan R. Michaelis\n\nUSD 431 BOARD OF EDUCATION (elect 4)\n\n\n	Jessica Baze\n	Julia Debes\n	Rebecca Mooney\n	Neil Ochs\n	Kevin D. Patterson
