SUMMARY:Smoky Hills Public TV Family Fun Day w/ Clifford the Big Red Dog
DESCRIPTION:The Smoky Hills Public Television Family Fun Day event will be held Saturday\, October 14th from 9am-1pm.\n\nLast year's event was a great weekend of fund and excitement. Curious George was on hand at the Great Bend Brit Spaugh Zoo to meet the kids and Randy's Music Jam played songs that got the kids dancing and jamming to the music. Children also got a chance to get their vision checked by the Great Bend Lions Club. The attendance was phonemonal with over 1\,700 people taking in the event. \n\n\n\nWe will be returning to the zoo again this year on October 14th from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Clifford the Big Red Dog will be on hand to greet children and pose for pictures. Who knows maybe Clifford will grow even bigger with all the hugs he receives from the kids!  We will again be handing out to the first 500 children a goodie bag that includes a book and prizes. The book giveaway coincides with Smoky Hills Public TV's literacy initiative to supply children in our coverage area with a book.\n\n\n\nThe purpose of the event is for a fun family educational environment. The event is free and open to the public.\n\n\n\nSmoky Hills Public TV is striving to help educate our children in a rural area for a better future.
