SUMMARY:Weaving Retreat @ Heartland Farm
DESCRIPTION:This retreat is for all levels of interested people with no experience of weaving necessary. Come and explore your creativity as you nurture your spirit under the guidance of gentle\, skilled spiritual directors and weaving enthusiasts.\n\n\n\nEnjoy 1:1 instruction as well as the company of other retreatants. You may choose either the daytime commuter option or the weekend/overnight option.\n\n\n\nDaytime Commuter option: Sept. 19-22 Tues-Fri 9am-1:30pm with lunch.\n\n\n\nWeekend Option: Friday evening through Sunday at 12pm\, Sept. 22-24 staying overnight at the Farm's guest house.\n\n\n\nAfter this retreat\, some may want to continue a monthly get-together at the Farm to develop their weaving skills.\n\n\n\nSister Anita Cleary\, OP is a Dominican Sister of the Springfield\, IL Dominicans who has developed and conducted retreats at Jubilee Farm in Illinois. She will be assisted by Heartland Farm staff and volunteers.\n\n\n\nHeartland Farm offers an 80 acre farmstead with walking trails\, a comfortable guest house\, a straw bale arts building with ample space and weaving equipment as well as extensive gardens\, alpacas\, chickens and more. Your retreat will be surrounded by good food\, a caring atmosphere and shared with other like-minded retreatants. You can find instruction\, encouragement\, creativity and a time to connect with your own center and with the Divine.\n\n\n\nScholarships:\n\nSpecial scholarship funds have been made available from the Shalom Fund of the Dominican Sisters of Peace for women in need in our area. Theses funds will cover the cost of the retreat\, plus any additional expenses required by participants including transportation\, child care\, and other options which can facilitate each individual's full participation in this enriching experience\, including follow-up activities.\n\n\n\nPlease request a scholarship form and return it to Heartland Farm. There is an expectation that those seeking scholarships would commit to volunteer service hours at Heartland Farm as arranged with the Farm staff.\n\n\n\nContact Heartland Farm to register.
