DESCRIPTION:Barton Community College's Early Childhood Education Program will host its second annual "Wheels and Squeals" free family event for children up to eight years old from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 19\, in the Technical Building parking lot at the northeast corner of campus.\n\n\n\nAttendees can enjoy a variety of interactive activities\, including booths\, a petting zoo\, a Touch-a-Truck experience featuring tractors\, police cars\, and fire trucks\, a welding simulator\, and birdhouse building. The first 30 families in attendance will also receive a free children's book.\n\n\n\nBarton Instructor and Coordinator of Early Childhood\, Elementary\, and Secondary Education KellyAnn Bonnell said the event continues to grow while encouraging children to learn through hands-on experiences.
