Business Resiliency Bootcamp - Hays
The Kansas SBDC has received a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration to offer six Business Resiliency Bootcamps in rural, drought-stricken communities in Kansas. Each Bootcamp will feature three workshops to help existing businesses to have the skills, knowledge, and resources to enable them to be resilient and adaptable during challenging times. Strategies for Improving Financial Management: This will be a 3-hour introductory level workshop (including Q & A) covering the following topics: how to track your finances, how to understand financial statements, cash flow management strategies, managing seasonality, pricing strategies, and planning for profit. Thrifty Marketing: This will be a 1.25-hour introductory level workshop (including Q & A) covering the following topics: how to identify and understand your target customers, how to communicate your value, no-cost and low-cost ways to reach your customers, and creative strategies to market your business without spending a lot of money. Using AI Tools to Support Business Management: This will be a 1.25-hour introductory level workshop (including Q & A) covering the following topics: an overview of how AI tools can be used to help small businesses (for example in areas such as human resources, financial management, operational management, marketing, and customer relationship management), what are the costs for using AI tools, tips for getting started, and best practices for risk mitigation when using AI tools.
