All things "butterfly" is the focus of the Kansas Wetlands Education Center's annual Butterfly Festival. This years festival will be on Saturday, September 15. Starting at 9:00 am at KWEC. New at the 2018 festival, participants will enjoy a puppet show by Stone Lion Puppet Theatre. From making milkweed seed bombs to tagging monarch butterflies, kids and adults will find plenty to do during the free event. Favorite activities for the festival include monarch tagging, an insect zoo, milkweed seed bombs, butterfly photo boards, crafts and door prizes.
