Flutist Masterclass and Recital

Flute players and music enthusiasts will have the opportunity to listen and learn from one of the best flutists in the region as Kansas City flute player and musicologist Bryanna Beasley will present a masterclass at 3 p.m. in the Chapel in the Fine Arts Building, followed by a duet recital with Barton Guitar Instructor Aleia Gonzalez at 5 p.m. March 5 in the Dorothy Morrison Chapel in the Fine Arts Building.

The masterclass portion will provide an enriching opportunity for students and community members who play the flute to learn from Beasley. The masterclass and recital are both free and open to the public. The concert will showcase a diverse flute and guitar duet repertoire with works by Villa-Lobos, Giuliani, Chen Yi, Ibert, and Liebermann.
