    Historic Downtown Walking Tour

The Barton County Historical Society September program will be led by local historian Justin Engleman, at 6 and 7:15 p.m., Monday, September 22.

Find out where F.W. Woolworth, Lischesky Dry Goods, the NuAces Saloon, Funk Furniture, Citizens National Bank, J.S. Dillon and Son Store #2, JCPenney, the White Way Cafe and the Farmers and Merchants Bank were located in downtown Great Bend.

Engleman will also lead attendees through the former Masonic Temple and the offices above Renue, as well as talk about the former occupants of the buildings along the 1300 and 1400 blocks of Main Street.

Attendees should wear comfortable shoes and be able to navigate steps to enter the various buildings.
