Mystery at the Motherhouse
Heartland Center to host mystery dinner as opportunity to gather, celebrate The Heartland Center for Spirituality will transform into a center for elegance, intrigue, and scandal this summer as its hosts ‘Mystery at the Motherhouse: A Downton Abbey Whodunit’ on July 18, 2026, from 6-9 p.m. Tickets for the dinner and drama-filled game will go on sale May 1 for $75, and the event will be capped at 90 seats. Tickets are expected to sell quickly. The Heartland Center for Spirituality, along with the Great Bend Motherhouse, will close before the end of 2026. This event is a chance to celebrate the presence of the Dominican Sisters of Peace in Kansas and share a meaningful goodbye with Heartland Center staff. Inspired by the world of Downton Abbey, the Mystery at the Motherhouse will be a chance to gather, celebrate, and create memories at the Heartland Center. Professional actors will help set the stage for the “crime,” and guests who want to participate may be chosen as characters to actually take part in the story. Guests are welcome to dress in period costume and immerse themselves in the mystery game or simply be entertained as the evening’s events unfold. Be assured - all will not go according to plan July 18. For more information about the evening and tickets, which go on sale May 1, reach out to Heartland Center for Spirituality Director Ann Axman at Ann.Axman@heartlandspirituality.org or call Ann at 620-792-1232.
