Spanish Without Barriers
The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the launch of “Spanish Without Barriers,” a new event aimed at creating a safe and supportive environment for individuals to practice their Spanish language skills without fear of judgment or criticism. The event is free to attend and open to anyone, regardless of their current level of Spanish proficiency, and is designed to provide a platform for individuals to practice their skills and help others looking to improve their abilities.
The Chamber hopes that the event will encourage people to practice their Spanish skills and ultimately build stronger relationships within the Hispanic community. The first event will be hosted at the Chamber located at 1125 Williams St. and will feature different snacks and foods from a featured Spanish-speaking country.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with other individuals, practice their language skills and enjoy some snacks. “We are excited to offer this event to our community,” said Chamber Communications Coordinator, Edith Solorzano. “We believe that creating a space where people can practice their Spanish language skills without fear of judgment or criticism is an important step towards building a more inclusive and connected community.”
The Chamber hopes that this event will be the first of many and that it will eventually expand to different stores, restaurants, and other places within the Hispanic community where people can practice their Spanish language skills with those who speak it best. The “Spanish Without Barriers” event is a great opportunity for anyone looking to improve their Spanish language skills and connect with others in the community.
The Chamber invites everyone to attend and hopes to see a large turnout for this exciting event. For more information about “Spanish Without Barriers,” please visit the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce website or contact us at marketing@greatbend.org.
