The Leader’s Lunchroom: August Session

Great Bend, KS — The Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Move Your Mountain Coaching and Consultation, invites community members to attend the August session of The Leader’s Lunchroom, a monthly leadership series designed to spark growth, connection, and courageous action.

The August gathering will take place on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 12:00–1:00 PM at the Great Bend Chamber Boardroom, located at 1125 Williams, Great Bend, KS 67530.

This month’s topic, “August — Sustainable Leadership: Preventing Burnout for Yourself and Your Team,” challenges the idea that burnout is simply part of strong leadership. Instead, this session will focus on creating healthy rhythms, boundaries, and habits that support long-term success for both leaders and their teams. Attendees will explore what sustainable leadership looks like in practice, how to recognize the warning signs of burnout, and what small changes can make a meaningful difference in their well-being and effectiveness. Through reflection and discussion, leaders will consider the boundary, rhythm, or habit that could immediately improve their own leadership health while also fostering a more sustainable and supportive team culture. 

A featured coaching question for the session asks:

“What boundary, rhythm, or habit would immediately improve your well-

being as a leader?”

 

This session will be led by Kimberly Becker, CEO of Move Your Mountain Coaching, alongside Megan Barfield, President of the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, offering attendees a dynamic and engaging hour of insight, conversation, and connection.
