The Golden Belt Humane Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to animal welfare that provides housing and medical care to unwanted and stray animals. Our mission includes the placement of these animals by adoption or by networking with other shelters and rescues. The Golden Belt Humane Society has worked to become a no/low kill facility since 2013 - in which euthanasia is only used when quality of life for the animal is not present, aggression or sickness.
Several dedicated volunteers also spend their time helping with shelter daily duties, handle animals and work to adopt them at different events, promote available animals through social media and so much more. The Society cannot thank the village of volunteers, donors and dedicated folks enough for all the much-needed assistance they provide.
