About Us
Heartland Farm, located 13 miles west of Great Bend, in rural Rush County, offers an experience of peace and serenity. It's just far enough away from town to step out from the noise and come into nature. Surrounded by vistas of farms and the great sky, this beautiful setting offers space for retreat and renewal, learning and creative expression, and also alpacas!
The ecological farm was established back in 1987 by the Dominican Sisters of Peace and opens its doors to the community. When you visit Heartland Farm you will be able to expand your knowledge and skills through hands-on experience. They regularly offer workshops in the categories of baking, gardening, making natural beauty products, and more.
Guests are welcome to roam the open pastures and walking trails around the 80-acre farmstead, ensuring a pleasant retreat for all visitors. Come walk the labyrinth, a meditative path that relates to wholeness, a journey to our own center and back. Guests can visit for the day or reserve overnight accommodations in the farm's guest house or strawbale hermitage.
Visit their Facebook Page or check out their website to learn about upcoming events, retreat packages, visiting hours and more at Heartlandfarm-Ks.org.
